When you’re new to the responsibility of buying industrial furniture - whether you need a portable stage, drafting table, modular desks, school furniture, or office partitions - it’s difficult to quickly get a grasp of the range of products available, and even harder to determine which products will work best for your needs. Here’s a quick rundown to get you started:
Portable Stage: Portable stages come in a variety of heights, typically 8 inches, 16 inches, 24 inches, 32 inches, and 40 inches. They are also available in different widths and lengths, the most common being 3 feet by 6 feet, 3 feet by 8 feet, 4 feet by 6 feet, and 4 feet by 8 feet. The top of a portable stage is called a deck, and can be made from hardboard or polypropylene. Polypropylene decks can be carpeted to enhance their appearance.
Portable stages give you a wide variety of options. You can, for example, buy several platforms of the same height to form a flat performance stage. Or, you can buy several different heights to construct band or choral risers. When buying a portable stage, look for those that assemble quickly and that take up little room when folded and stacked. Finally, keep in mind that for safety reasons, guardrails should be used on the sides and rear of stages.

Office Chairs
Most people who work in an office find that they spend the majority of their days in an office chair. There are many different types of office chairs available on the office furniture market that can range from very affordable to quite expensive. Many times the relatively inexpensive office chairs can cause discomfort or problems associated with back pain and even some of the more expensive chairs arent designed any better. The more expensive office chairs are only more expensive because they are made from more expensive materials, not necessarily because they have a more comfortable design. The need for more comfortable office chairs has led to a good deal of research and eventually the design of something called an ergonomic office chair.
Ergonomics is a term that is being used more and more often in the design of all types of furniture. An ergonomic office chair is a chair that should be able to adjust to each individuals needs for comfort and in their ability to perform. An essential part of a good ergonomic office chair is the ability for the user to be able to adjust the chair with easy to use controls in order to find the perfect seating position. Most people who use ergonomic office chairs claim to have experienced a lessening in the common aches and pains that are associated with common office chairs including neck pain, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome and other related problems. Ergonomic office chairs are made in a variety of designs and colors to suit any type of office environment.

Between flextime working and jobs that over run many offices are now open from early in the morning until late at night. This means that the people in it are spending a long time sitting which can cause physical stress and tiredness which may lead to back and circulation problems.
The fact that this was happening at an alarming rate caused experts to take a look at the way we sit and at what we sit on and how this might be improved. This led to the beginnings of the ergonomic office chair. An ergonomic chair molds itself to the sitter and helps to take some of the strain out of constant sitting by supporting the person?s posture. Chairs without sufficient support mechanisms can lead to people experiencing long term back and leg problems, particularly if they are sitting in the same place for an extended number of hours.
The latest thing to hit office furniture departments is the ergonomic mesh office chair. These chairs are becoming increasingly popular in many offices, not only do they relieve posture and arm strain, but the increased feeling of well being that this produces also increases productivity.

A hammock makes an unusual but welcome gift. If you’re stuck for present ideas for a loved one who appears to already have everything, then a colorful hand woven Mayan hammock or traditional rope hammock could be the answer. Hammocks are synonymous with lazy hot sunny days and anyone who receives a hammock at Christmas is sure to be impatient for summer to arrive so they can kick back and unwind in their new gift.
It’s no wonder hammocks are associated with a gentler pace of life. A hammock is a most comfortable place to relax and enjoy the sunshine, take a nap, or get stuck into a good book. Many people actually use their hammock as a bed! Hammocks can be hung from posts, beams or tree branches, or alternatively a purpose built portable hammock stand gives you the freedom to set up your hammock wherever the mood takes you - be that under a shady tree, on a sunny patio or within easy reach of the pool or beach.
If your loved one lives in a small apartment with little or no outside space, then a hammock chair would be a great gift for them. Hammock chairs or swings are based on the same design principle as hammocks, but provide a cozy seat in which to sit or curl up rather than lie. They come in various sizes, from small single chairs to those that can snuggly accommodate two. A hammock swing chair can easily be hung in any small space, either inside from a ceiling joist or beam, on a portable stand on a deck or patio, or from a convenient tree branch.

Quality outdoor furniture, in virtually any style or design, is going to be a serious investment. Unless you are looking to buy those plastic chairs and tables that will blow away at the first hint of a storm, then a quality set of patio or deck furniture is going to be costly and therefore require some planning. There are premium sets of furniture made in a wide array of styles and materials.
While style is certainly a consideration with any outdoor furniture purchase decision, it is sometimes best to begin by choosing a material. The quality of the material and hardware used in making deck or patio furniture is very important because it helps determine the durability and ultimate value of the piece. Quality materials include everything from recycled plastic all the way to premium hardwoods such as oak, mahogany, or even teak. Because outdoor furniture products made from teak tend to be more expensive than other material choices, how does premium teak outdoor furniture stand up against the less-expensive options?

Decorating with Italian furniture and accessories can cover a wide range of home owner tastes. Renaissance, Classic, Tuscan, and modern contemporary Italian furniture are the more popular styles. Furniture design in Italy is a skilled trade that has been passed down from one generation to another for hundreds of years. Although the styles have changed dramatically with time the workmanship has retained the high quality of earlier periods, creating not only unique elegant furniture, but actual works of art in many cases.
Renaissance style Italian furniture was designed in a variety of fashions. Large heavy, very unique and ornate design was incorporated into every piece of furniture. Detailed carvings in wood furniture include everything from various fruits and birds, to grotesque animal and human figures. A combination of Roman and Gothic styles make this decor something not to be easily forgotten. A word of warning though; this type of furniture is more suited for large spaces as everything, from elaborately designed credenzas to elegant iron accent pieces, are “big”.

Utilizing Moroccan styled wrought iron patio furniture is one way that you can add a degree of sophistication to your outdoor living and entertaining space. These durable pieces boast intricate patterns that show off the skill of master craftsmen while also providing you and your guests a comfortable and inviting place to enjoy each other?s company.
As stated above, one of the biggest benefits of wrought iron patio furniture is its durability. Many styles of patio furniture are made of plastic, which can discolor and crack after prolonged exposure to the elements, or wood, which can rot and needs to be sealed and cared for on a yearly basis. Most people would rather spend their time using their patio furniture instead of maintaining it. Wrought iron patio furniture is also very strong. Since it is steel, it offers a greater degree of stability than plastic. These pieces will never crack, break or bend under normal use.
